Are we moving forward? Yes! Fix ahead: Arturo de Hoyos in Bucharest!

A magical weekend for members of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite from Romania.  

The "Scottish Rite Conferences" series continues, at the known and especially ... recognized standards.

At the invitation of the Supreme Council of the RSAA in Romania, between October 18-25, Il Bro is present in Romania. Arturo de Hoyos 33, Grand Cross, prominent and downright legendary figure of contemporary Freemasonry, through his enormous editorial contribution over the last 30 years and through his position as Grand Archivist and Grand Historian of the Supreme Council "Mother of the World", Jurisdiction South of the United States of America.

As a representative of both Supreme Councils, Southern and Northern Jurisdictions of the USA at the ritual ceremony of Initiation into the Rite, Gr.4, Secret Master, Il Frate Arturo de Hoyos, 33, Grand Cross told us the next day that he had emotions in during the ritual Initiation ceremony because he ... wrote the ritual!

He also held a conference in the open outfit, part of the RSAA National Session at "Odeon". In a hall that became too large, several (many) hundreds of delegates of the Ritual Bodies from all over the country participated, members of our Rite in all degrees, but also 87 Master Mason Brothers who came to the Initiation, as well as a delegation from 70 young people representing the Order of DeMolay Romania, together with their parents and advisors.

Moreover, this special opportunity determined the interest of 24 Supreme Councils from 24 invited countries from Europe and one from South America. The delegations of 12 Supreme Councils in friendship representing France, Austria, Switzerland, Israel, Hungary, Slovakia, Slovenia, Portugal, Luxembourg, Honduras, Poland, Serbia were physically present, and 13 other Supreme Councils: England, Germany, Spain, Holland, Andorra, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Italy, Latvia, Monaco sent messages of appreciation, some qualifying the event as an "extraordinary initiative of the Romanian Supreme Council".

Words are insufficient to describe the emotion experienced by all participants. The naturalness, the friendship, the fraternal feeling emanated by Brother Arturo de Hoyos will remain to be told to the grandchildren (obviously, only when they are also Masons, members of the Rite!).

For all who have been instructed, inspired and found their Masonic path through the books written or edited under the auspices of our illustrious brother, these October days have been a dream come true.

He showed himself to be very satisfied after, being interested in detail, he studied the rituals practiced in our jurisdiction. In the following days, Illustrious Brother Arturo had practical discussions about them during his travels in the country, honoring the invitations of the Brothers from Călărași, Brașov and Bucharest. They proved to be up to the task, both in being connoisseurs of freemasonry, formidable dialogue partners and impeccable hosts!

The "professional" aspect of this visit should not be forgotten either: Thursday, 24.10. 2024, in Bucharest, the contract was signed between the Supreme Council "Mother of the World", the Southern Jurisdiction of the USA and the Supreme Council of Romania, the contract for the transfer of some intellectual rights for Romania, including the translation and publication of the fundamental Masonic books in Romanian.

Throughout the event, in formal or informal moments, in the setting of the temple or in the majestic hall of the CEC Palace where the super elegant "Gala Dinner" took place, to the question: Arturo de Hoyos in Bucharest? those present were able to answer again with "it's clear that we are moving forward! Fast forward!”
