According to the Patent of October 9, 1993 and the Circular sent to the whole world on April 25, 2020, issued as a Patent by the Supreme Council Mother of the World from Washington DC, Southern Jurisdiction of the USA, the only regular and recognized Supreme Council in Romania is the one led by to SMC Stelian Nistor, 33. ("RECOGNITION with The Supreme Council of the 33rd and Last Degree of The Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Romania, whose Sovereign Grand Commander is Stelian Nistor, 33°").

On Saturday, December 2, 2023, in its traditional temple at the Odeon Theater in Bucharest, the Supreme Council of the 33rd and Last Degree of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite in Romania held its National Winter Session in the 33rd Degree.

The participants were therefore exclusively the Brothers of Degree 33, the Sovereign Grand Inspectors General of the Supreme Council of the RSAA in Romania.

During the emotional ritual, the 33rd Degree was awarded to some Knight Brothers of the Court of Honor proposed by the 33rd Degree Brothers and approved by the Supreme Council.

Also, a number of Sovereign Grand Inspectors General or Honorary Grand Inspectors General, were rewarded for their activity with orders and medals of the Rite.

Thus a new page was added to our story. "Because every man, no matter how much forest he could cut down with his bare hands, still needs a bit of a story... A story that we build in an attempt to be Freemasons... A story that had to be defended against imposture, imitation of Freemasonry, monkeying around Masonry... ”

Decree of the Supreme Council of the 33rd and last degree of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite granting autonomy to the National Grand Lodge of Romania (1923)

"Along with us, on the frequency 105.9, Radio Timișoara, the listeners will also find out which direction the wind blows and how to adjust their sails to travel the length and breadth of Beautiful Romania, talking to a man who known success in the most diverse fields, but also experienced the fall, sadness, hopelessness and disappointment, and then, again, the excitement of new beginnings. He himself declared: "I consider that I have two parallel biographies, one to be defeated and one to be victorious. I haven't learned even to this day to be able to distinguish the moments when the two intersect."

Our guest today is Stelian Nistor, the Sovereign Grand Commander of the Supreme Council of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite in Romania. He is the man who has managed, through all his activity, to find a way to celebrate the diversity of people and to question the differences without fracturing the community of which he is a part. He understood diversity as a way to make society safer and more open to the new.

His entire activity was under the sign of diversity. He graduated from the Institute of Theater and Cinematography "ILCaragiale" and, in only 20 years, became a theater actor, was the artistic director of the "Nottara" Theater in Bucharest, had roles in 18 films, Romanian and foreign, had a career in television. In 2000, he gave up acting and chose to enter the business world, and from 2011 until now he is part of one of the most important online political marketing projects, covering clients from all over the world.

Initiated in 1994, in September 2015 he was elected Sovereign Grand Commander of the 33rd and Last Degree Supreme Council of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite from Romania. In 2022, at the session in Paraguay, he was unanimously elected president of the World Conference of Supreme Councils of the Scottish Rite for the period 2025-2030.

As is already known throughout the Regular Masonic World, on July 28, 2022, in Asuncion in Paraguay, the Masonic diplomacy of our Supreme Council succeeded for Romania, for the first time in its history since 1881, in winning The Presidency of the World Conference a to the Supreme Council for a five-year term, starting from the XXI Edition, which will take place in Bucharest in 2025.

Moreover, a "bonus" of three years of Vice President is added, from now until 2025. One week after this unique event for us, the Supreme Council of the RSAA in Romania had as guests delegates of 22 Supreme Councils from 21 countries (from the United States of America both Jurisdictions were represented, both the Northern and the Southern Jurisdiction, i.e. the Supreme Mother Council of the World).

At the Odeon, on Saturday 6 August, the Conferring of the 33rd Degree took place and then, further, an Open Dress, the awarding of the "KCCH" Order in the presence of our Ladies. But, as stated PP and IL Brother James D. Cole, SMC of the Supreme Council Mother of the World in his message, the truly "historic" event was the Installation of the National Consistory "David A. Glattly", in the presence of the Sovereign Grand Commander of Past of the Northern Jurisdiction of the USA, David A. Glattly himself.

To honor the memory of our brother who passed away in 2015, Ioan Atanasiu Delamare, the Supreme Council of AASR, together with the Fine Arts Union (FAU) from Romania, has awarded a prize to a young artist, appointed by the Board of FAU.

Ioan Atanasiu Delamare was born in Bucharest, on January 5th, 1955 and became a member of the Fine Artists Union from Romania in 1990. Between 1984 and 1994 he was graphic designer at the Institute of Fine Mechanics in Bucharest. He started his teaching career in 1992, as an assistant professor at the Art Academy in Bucharest and between 1996-2012 was a lecturer. In 2006 he obtained a PhD in Visual Arts. His works are exhibited in the Art

Museum of Constanta, Museum „Saint Olaf” in Northfield (United States) and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Bucharest.
He had many personal and group exhibitions, both in Romania and abroad.

Mrs. Lea Rasovszky was the beneficiary of the prize "Ioan Atanasiu Delamare". Born on 24th of March 1986 in Bucharest, Lea Rasovszky graduated Fine Arts University in 2008 and soon after graduated with an MA in video art and multimedia.

The Supreme Council of AASR, understanding the importance of supporting Romanian sports performance, has decided to allocate financial assistance and support, during 2016, to the gymnast Roberta Mihaela Radu, to enter the Romanian national team.

UPDATE: After four months since Roberta received financial assistance from the Supreme Council of the AASR of Romania, at the National Contest of the Gymnastics Schools, she won six medals four gold, one silver and one bronze. Furthermore, at the Nadia Comăneci Trophy (named after the very first gymnast in the world who obtained the perfect 10 in the history of the Olympic Games), in Oneşti, Roberta also won four medals: two gold, one silver and one bronze.

“I am glad we chose to support Roberta, she is an extraordinary and gifted child. With our support she is able to pursue her career as a gymnast”, Concludes Ill. Bro. Stelian Nistor 33 °, Sovereign Grand Commander.

On the occasion of the re-consecration of Adrian Dohotaru Perfection Lodge No. 1, our Sovereign Grand Commander announced the decision of the Supreme Council to resume financial monthly support of Mrs. Anita Dohotaru, widow of our Bro. Adrian Dohotaru, passed into the Eternal Orient.

Considering that one of the roles of Freemasonry is philanthropy, the Supreme Council of AASR, at the initiative of our Sovereign Grand Commander, MP & Ill. Bro. Stelian Nistor 33 °, decided to finance the renovation of a surgical salon from Elias University Emergency Hospital.

Elias Hospital was established in 1936 in Bucharest by Menachem H. Elias Family Foundation, as specified in his will Menachem Jacques Elias, who left his entire fortune to the Romanian Academy, as testamentary legatee.

The construction of the hospital began in 1934 on a land plot purchased by the Elias Foundation from the Romanian Red Cross Society; Radu Dudescu was the architect and Emil Prager was the construction engineer.

On November 15th, 1938, in the presence of Grand Prince Michael of Alba Iulia (the future King Michael I), Queen Helen and other personalities from the country and abroad, was put into operation the hospital founded by Menachem H. Elias' family; most modern hospital in Europe at that time opened the gates of ambulatory, hospital (200 beds) and sanatorium.

In 1990, Elias Hospital entered the Ministry of Defense structure. In 1992 a protocol was signed between the Romanian Academy, Elias Foundation and the Ministry of Defense; the hospital passes into temporary Ministry administration, free of charge.

Since 2002, the hospital returns under the management of the Romanian Academy, becoming, the same year, university emergency hospital.

"I want it to be a first step towards a normal goal that we, members of the Scottish Rite and our families, have to achieve: to build a hospital, owned by our Rite, in order to support healthcare programs in our country”, Says Ill. Bro. Stelian Nistor 33 °, Sovereign Grand Commander.
