On the evening of November 12, 2021, the Supreme Council of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Romania, represented by the Sovereign Grand Commander, PP & Il Frate Stelian Nistor 33 ° and a delegation of 18 full members, participated on Zoom at " Rite Fest ”, the National Session of the Supreme Council of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Turkey.
This year's festival was dedicated to the 160th anniversary of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite in Turkey. They were invited to attend the regular and recognized Supreme Councils around the world, in Masonic friendship. Constraints related to the evolution of the pandemic globally have made this event take place online.
The meeting began with a documentary film made by our brothers in Turkey on the history of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite in their country. All the Sovereign Grand Commanders who marked this history were presented in turn. Archival documents and vintage images made this moment special, enjoyable and instructive.
The next segment was dedicated to the messages of the delegations of the participating Supreme Councils. One by one, truly fraternal messages were presented, strengthening to those present the belief in the universal solidarity of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite.
In his speech, the Sovereign Grand Commander of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Romania PP & Il Frate Stelian Nistor, Honorary Member of the Supreme Council of Turkey, underlined the excellent relations between the two Supreme Councils, in the line of very good relations and mutual respect between the two countries, between the two peoples, Romanian and Turkish, in the last hundred years. Moreover, he had special appreciations regarding the personal relationship he developed with the Sovereign Grand Commander of the Past Hassan Erman. He noted his deeply Masonic attitude, the help and support given to the Supreme Council of Romania exactly when needed.
He also congratulated the new Sovereign Grand Commander Harun Kuzgun and expressed his conviction that the feeling of belonging to the same family will further strengthen the bond between the two supreme councils. He concluded his speech by reminding those present, about 270 Turkish Brothers and foreign guests, of the invitation to the event of December 17, 2021 of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite in Romania.
