Supremul Consiliu de Grad 33 și Ultim - Ritul Scoțian Antic și Acceptat din România

Supreme Council of the 33rd and Last Degree

of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Romania

Kadosh Festival 2026

According to the provisions of the Statute and Regulations of the Supreme Council of the Romanian Autonomous Republic, "The Kadosh Councils celebrate January 13 as a holiday”.

"Constantin Moroiu" Kadosh Council organized, as every year, this celebration. This year, the day of the Kadosh Councils was organized together with Kadosh Council "Jacques de Molay".
Finding an available space suitable for this celebration means that the exact date is January 13th or a day as close to January 13th as possible. Coincidence means (although we know that nothing is accidental!) that this year the celebration was organized on January 15th, an important date for the Romanian people and unfortunately increasingly ignored.

This year's Kadosh celebration was attended by 47 Scottish brothers from Bucharest, Brasov, Braila, Suceava, Timisoara, including a delegation from The Supreme Council of the RSAA of Romania led by the Sovereign Commander.

Although compared to the other holidays of the ritual bodies of the RSAA in Romania, the Kadosh Holiday does not have a specific Ritual, the solemnity of the day was marked as it should be.
After the speeches of the Commanders of the two organizing Kadosh Councils, two documents were presented to mark this event.

The first aimed at a brief introduction to a larger work related to the emergence of knightly degrees, an extremely captivating and complex subject through the prism of political (English royalty, French royalty, Holy See, Holy Roman Empire) and religious (Anglicanism, Protestantism, Catholicism) contexts, of the philosophical and esoteric currents in fashion at that time (Hermeticism, Occultism, Christian Kabbalah, etc.) and of the nostalgia for the chivalric era (the emergence and abolition/transformation of initiatory orders) and internal movements in Freemasonry (e.g. the emergence of the first Grand Lodge).

The second presentation had as its starting point the date of January 15, the birth date of the one generally considered to be the most famous and influential personality in Romanian literature, Mihai Eminescu, and it even contained a possible speech by Eminescu, made up of quotes collected from his publications. Although Eminescu was not a Mason, through what he wrote, proving a high patriotism and a remarkable national consciousness, he behaved, de facto, like a true Freemason.

At the end of the formal part of the event, the Sovereign Commander of the Romanian RSAA addressed those present, expressing his appreciation for what was presented as well as for the organization of the entire event.

The Masonic banquet followed, with those present enjoying with moderation the menu spiced with fraternal discussions that reinforced the feeling of belonging to a Masonic organization remarkable for its achievements.
