It was a full year, in which both our Masonic outfits from the Ritual Bodies
as well as the projects generated for the life of the Rite proved to be, for all
present, Romanians and foreigners, at the Odeon review, to be distinguished by nature,
Masonic rigor, emotion and excellence.

Together we will continue the development of the Ritual Bodies. We will continue
Rite courses and conferences that have proven to be so useful this year as well
benefit. Together we will continue to express our faith, our compassion by deeds
and charity.

We swore together the faith of our country, Romania. We will continue to serve

Special show, Thursday, May 4, 2017, 19:00 - Metropolis Theater

The suite of cultural events organized under the auspices of the Supreme Council of the RSAA in Romania added a new experience, a new experience: the theatrical transposition of a dramatic text written by Priest Bogdan-Aurel Teleanu - a text that enjoys the High Blessing of His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel.

Difficult in vastness and depth, the theme of the play was structured - in the form of an allegory - by three "epic knots": the relationship between Lord and Metropolitan, symbolizing the "symphony" between State and Church (or, in Guenonian terms, between temporal power and authority spiritual); the domination of the ruler, following a "cabal" set up by his opponents Cantacuzini; the martyrdom of Brâncoveanu and his sons - with a significant emphasis on the refusal of the "devilish temptation" to renounce his right faith.

Everything, in an allegorical key, in an alert rhythm - with the inspired utterance of some “tirades” (nothing derogatory, in this word) focused on the love of Nation and Church… Love that motivates, explains and crowns the martyrdom of Brâncoveni, as well as the murder of the great Metropolitan.

Let's not forget the civilizing function of the two - exercised in the first two decades of the 18th century: through its foundations, in Hurez, in Mogoșoaia, in Potlogi, Brâncoveanu outlined an epoch and gave voice to a "Romanian style" in architecture. weather; as, beyond the protection of their immediate functionality, the sermons of Ivirean foreshadowed the great Romanian literature of the second half of the next century.

Damian Victor Oancea, Ovidiu Cuncea, Dana Rusu, Magda Catone, Tiberiu Păun, Ana Calciu, Mihai Coada, Bogdan Iacob, Alexandru Ionescu (in a completely random order, here) are the ones who gave "body and soul" to the characters of the drama , directed by Ivona Boitan; decoration and costumes: Ileana Zirra.

Flowing naturally from one to the other, the three "epic sequences" of the plot consisted of a show that, in the end, was applauded standing by those present: members of our Rite, accompanied (some) by their ladies.

Illustrating a convergent idea of the show, in the foyer of the theater is exposed the model of a possible sculptural ensemble: The Ivirean and the martyrs of Brâncoveni - proposal belonging to our Brother Răzvan-Paul Mihăescu, grade 9, with a rich plastic activity (graphics, painting, sculpture) well appreciated by connoisseurs.

An excellent connoisseur of the classical Greco-Roman "world", as well as of the great modern European culture, the lecturer offered the participants an excursion in double key + aiming at both antiquity and modernity; and establishing significant "bridges" between the two "realms".

The colloquial style, the bonhomie of the exhibition, pigmented with fine ironies, wrapped like a "velvet glove" rigor information and directness of value judgments made with the “iron hand” of the one well-founded in the "matter" from which he draws his arguments.

The presentation lasted an hour - "after the clock", as Mr. Th. Paleologu… The discussions that followed, starting from questions - informed - of many participants, would practically double the duration of the meeting; so that, in the hallway and then in front of the theater, other - short but exciting - dialogues arise.

The actual conference was prefaced and closed by two speeches by the Sovereign Grand Commander - focused, allusively or explicitly, on some fundamental ideas, which animate, in the alternative or in sight, the actions of the Rite: our constitutive historicity, celebration of excellence, integration in the cultural economy of Romania.

The inaugural conference we just talked about was flanked by others two events :

- Festive concert on the occasion of the World Health Organization Day, Saturday, April 8, at 7 pm, at the Romanian Athenaeum

- The play “The Journal of Pleasure” by Claude Carrére, on Friday, April 7, at 7 pm at the Metropolis Theater, performed by the actors Cristina Răduţă Bobic and Marius Bodochi

Festive concert on the occasion of the World Health Organization Day

As always, in the last decade, the Orchestra of Physicians “Dr. Emil Nichifor ”celebrated WHO Day with a concert that included symphonic pages and areas of great popularity from operas.

The first part of the concert was dedicated to Beethoven - “present” with the overture “Edmont”, respectively with “Fantasy for piano, choir and orchestra” op.8, soloist: pianist Ana Nedelcu (Great Britain); The "Vox Medicalia" Choir, made up of medical students, gave its competition.

The second part opened with the overture "Eurianthe" by Weber, and ended with the symphonic suite "Peer Gynt" by Grieg.

Between these two "covers" of authentic vibration, soprano Silvia Micu and tenor Alin Stoica performed arias and duets by Gounod, Cilea, Puccini, Sorozabal, Verdi.

The orchestra was conducted by maestro Iosif Ion Prunner, having as first violinist prof.univ.dr. Mircea Penescu.

Each issue of the program was rewarded with long applause, which no longer requires comment.

The Sovereign Grand Commander and members of the Supreme Council were present at both events.

Articolul Conferințele Academiei RSSA din România apare prima dată în SCAASR.

Together we conclude the 135th year of documented existence of the RSAA in Romania. This is the year that brought Romania, by electing the Romanian Sovereign as President of the Conference of Sovereign Grand Commanders of Europe and Associated Countries for the next two years. This is the most prestigious international recognition in the history of the 135th anniversary of our Rite.

Internally, we have begun installing new Perfection Lodges, Rosicrucian Chapters and Kadosh Councils across the country. We began to reward some of the deserving. We have started to expel some of those who do not justify their honor of being members of the RSAA. We continued our social programs. We started the Masonic and Profane Training Campaign to legitimize ourselves as an elite in Freemasonry and society. We will arrange the new Temple, we will have a Hospital.

I will repeat exactly some ideas from last year's message, to check if and how much we kept our word:
”We are at the end of a year that has validated a beginning of the road: the path of dignity, honor and pride of being a member of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite in Romania. We will go on this road, and you and I, side by side with our brothers, in the coming year. We have the chance to join the gallery of honor opened by our illustrious forerunners. We have the chance to one day become illustrious forerunners for those who will inherit from us, at the end of our work, a strong Rite, respected, admired and, why not,… envied! ”

These, not only remained words on paper but became deeds that we realize in front of our brothers from all over Romanian Freemasonry.

I believe that all members of the RSAA have equal merit and I thank each and every member of the Scottish Rite equally. I know that you know best what you have done for Rite this year, and you will stop thanking yourself for what you deserve. I believe that, if necessary, you will recover from the thanksgiving of the year for your deeds in the service of the Rite for the whole of the following year.

I had the largest turnout in history at the Odeon National Session on December 17th. In the opening, the words of the oath of allegiance to the Land of Rite were heard from hundreds of the breasts of true men: "I swear allegiance to my country, Romania! I swear to protect them and to protect them, even at the cost of my life, the Name, the People and the Tricolor Flag! ”

We will continue to serve our country by respecting and defending its laws, values and tradition. We will continue to express our compassion and charity. The rite will be strong and respected. And by respecting the Rite, each of us will be able to be respected, in Freemasonry and in society!

Needless to say, these successes have been fulfilled: in practice, they have only succeeded in showing how easy it is to move from idea to terror, from utopia to genocide, from ideal to murder. the most abject.

In this context, it is confused to identify with materiality To the world and with exile Spirituality in areas peripheral to the "centers" of decision, the only option to re-place, to some extent, things in their natural womb is recovery of spiritual tradition: with all that this entails in the sacred plane — that is, within the Masonic Order and within each of us — as well as in the plane of profane life — where, even if our successes may be only partial, the benefit is greater than if n -I would do nothing.

For these reasons, and starting from the presumption that in each of us there is moral interrogation, existential pathos, capacity for choice, the Supreme Council - at the initiative of the Sovereign Grand Commander - decided to establish a higher form of integrated education: Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite Academy.

Unprecedented in the space of doctrinal exposition, of assimilating the true tradition, the Academy is open to all Brethren, members of our Rite, who want to perfect certain skills, useful in profane life, but - especially - are willing to receive the light of the Incarnate Word and to share in the lights sacred science: which, as Guénon also says, "opens, to those who study it properly, unsuspected and truly incomprehensible horizons."

Inaugural session of the Academy took place on Tuesday, December 13, this year, in the presence of over 200 Brethren, initiated into the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite over the past two years (2015 and 2016).

He presided over the Sovereign Grand Commander, His Almighty and Illustrious Brother, Stelian Nistor, 33 ° assisted by 12 members of the Supreme Council.

The work of the session took place in ritual attire.

During it, three drawings were presented, as follows - followed with real interest by all those present:

1. History of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite, in the world and in Romania - the genesis of the Scottish degrees, terms, chronology, important figures, the structure of the system
2. The Structure of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite
3. Grade 4 (legend, arcane, instruction)

The three plates were supported by a team composed of Il. Fr. Costin Cuneșteanu, George Ivașcu and Dan Dumitrescu.

The Academy of Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite addresses, as I said, the members of the Rite - but also the Masonic Masters, members of the MLNR.

Through its forms of education, the Academy aims at two major goals:

1. to ensure and perfect the Masonic training of the Brethren - regarding the rituals, philosophy and history of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite
2. to contribute to the personal development of the Brethren, in the field of communication, management and leadership, thus facilitating the transmission of the teachings of our Order to the communities in which they live and carry out their activity.

In this sense, the Academy will organize:

1. Masonic training courses
2. Esotericism and Masonic philosophy courses
3. Personal training courses (Oratory, Communication, Coaching, Management, Leadership, etc.).

At the same time, the Academy assures the Brothers, after completing the course modules, obtaining:

1. Graduation certificates issued by the Supreme Council of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Romania for Masonic Training Courses
2. Certificates issued by the relevant educational institutions, for Oratory, Communication and Leadership courses.

In the opening as well as at the closing of the works, the Sovereign Grand Commander spoke.

His word highlighted the significance of the event - which, along with similar events, marks a qualitatively new stage in the existence and Masonic work of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite.
